There are certain times when you should get your childs haircut, and certain times when it is not advisable. In terms of the 1st haircut, I always advise mothers (they're usually the most concerned) to get that first haircut when they themselves are emotionally ready. Indeed, getting that 1st haircut for your son or daughter, along with everything else, can definitely pull on your emotional strings. So make sure you get it done at the appropriate time.

Indeed, emotions aside, there is another instant in which you should get that first haircut, and that is when your child is in dire need of it-they can't see etc.  In this case it may be a good idea to high tail it to the hairstylist.Another time when you may not want to get your childs haircut is when their not feeling well, tired or just not up for it. Of course, if they generally don't like to get their haircut, you may have to force it on them anyway. But if that is not the case, and they generally are used to having a decent experience then don't push it. In fact, it's better to keep the haircutting experience on the up and up. In this way the experience will always be good.
